1. Agreement & Acceptance

By requesting a quote, booking a site visit, paying a deposit, or accepting an invoice from Secure247, you (the “Client”) agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”). These terms apply to all services, supplies, and works provided by Secure247.

2. Services Provided

Secure247 provides CCTV system design, supply, installation, configuration, commissioning, and optional cloud/NVR setup, plus repair and maintenance services as agreed in writing (“Services”). Scope of work, materials, brand/model, and any exclusions are set out in the written quote or proposal.

3. Quotes, Estimates & Invoices

All quotes are based on the site information available at quote time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Quotes are indicative; additional work found on site (concealed issues, extra cabling, access changes) will be quoted as variations. Work will not proceed on variations until accepted in writing.

Invoices issued are payable in CAD. Payment terms are stated on the invoice.

4. Deposits & Payment Terms

A deposit of 30% (or other amount stated on the quote) is required to secure the booking and order equipment.

Balance is due on completion (before system handover) unless a different milestone schedule is agreed in writing.

Late payments are subject to interest of 2% per month (24% p.a.) and collection costs, including legal fees.

For larger/commercial projects Secure247 may require staged payments.

5. Scheduling, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Client must provide access at the scheduled time. Additional site visits due to failed access may incur fees.

Cancellation by Client less than 48 hours before the scheduled install may result in forfeiture of deposit or a cancellation fee.

Secure247 may reschedule due to weather, supply delays, or unforeseen events and will notify Client as soon as possible.

6. Site Conditions & Client Responsibilities

Client must ensure safe access, power, Wi-Fi (if required), and that work areas are clear. If Secure247 arrives and site is unsafe or inaccessible, additional attendance fees apply.

Client is responsible for any permits or approvals from strata, municipality, or landlord unless Secure247 has agreed in writing to obtain them (and fees are charged accordingly).

Any discovery of asbestos, hazardous materials, or unsafe conditions will suspend work until resolved; Client bears the cost and delays.

7. Permits, Electrical Work & Trades

Secure247 installs low-voltage CCTV and PoE systems. Any mains electrical work, panel modifications, or hard-wired alarm mains tie-ins that require an electrician or Technical Safety BC qualification are not included unless explicitly agreed.

If mains or regulated electrical work is required, Secure247 will coordinate with a licensed electrician; Client pays additional costs.

8. Subcontractors & Third Parties

Secure247 may engage qualified subcontractors. Secure247 remains responsible for coordination and workmanship of subcontracted tasks unless otherwise stated.

If Client supplies third-party equipment, Secure247 is not liable for defects in that equipment unless installation caused damage.

9. Warranties & Limitations

Workmanship Warranty: Secure247 provides a workmanship warranty of 1 year from completion for labour (unless otherwise stated).

Manufacturer Warranty: Device and component warranties are provided by the manufacturer and vary by product; Secure247 will pass through manufacturer warranty claims but is not responsible for manufacturer delays.

These warranties do not cover damage from accidental impact, vandalism, acts of God, misuse, alterations by others, or failure to maintain the system.

10. Liability Limit & Indemnity

Secure247’s total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with Services (whether contract, tort, negligence or otherwise) is limited to the total amount paid by the Client to Secure247 under the relevant invoice(s) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Secure247 is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive or consequential losses (including lost data, income, or business interruption).

Client shall indemnify and hold Secure247 harmless from any claim, loss, damage or expense arising from Client’s negligence, omission, inaccurate information provided to Secure247, or failure to obtain required permissions.

11. Data, Privacy & Recordings

Video recordings and system data remain the Client’s data when Secure247 installs hardware on Client premises, unless otherwise agreed. If Secure247 hosts cloud storage or monitoring services, the service agreement and privacy policy for that service apply.

Secure247 will not access Client camera feeds except to perform agreed service or troubleshooting, and only with Client permission. Secure247 is not responsible for misuse of recorded footage by third parties. Client must comply with all applicable privacy laws and obtain any consents required for camera placement (e.g., recording public spaces, employees, or shared property).

12. Remote Access & Credentials

Secure247 will configure remote access as requested. Client is responsible for secure storage of passwords and credentials once provided. Secure247 is not responsible for breaches due to weak passwords, unsecured networks, or Client sharing credentials.

13. Change Orders & Variations

Any changes to the scope requested after acceptance are “variations” and will be quoted separately. Work on variations will not commence until agreed in writing. Variation charges may affect scheduling.

14. Maintenance, Repairs & Support

Standard service calls are billed as per the current rate card. Maintenance plans, if purchased, are governed by the plan terms. Emergency or after-hours visits are billed at higher rates.

15. Intellectual Property

Secure247 retains IP rights to templates, manuals, documentation, and proprietary materials created by Secure247. Client is granted a non-exclusive licence to use these materials for the installed system at Client’s premises only. Client-supplied content remains Client’s property.

16. Termination

Secure247 may suspend or terminate work if Client is in material breach (including non-payment) and such breach is not remedied within 7 days of notice. Client may terminate prior to start of work but may forfeit deposit as per cancellation terms. Termination does not relieve Client of payment for work already performed.

17. Force Majeure

Secure247 is not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, supply shortages, pandemics, government actions, severe weather).

18. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Parties will attempt to resolve disputes by good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and subject to the courts of British Columbia.

19. Amendments

Secure247 may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with “Last updated” date. Continued use of Services after notification constitutes acceptance.
